One of Hollywood's prettiest faces, Armie Hammer has a new project: as 'Variety' writes today he will topline the cast of psychological thriller MINE! The story of the movie will revolve around a soldier who becomes stranded in the desert after he fails to do his task in an assassination mission. There he must try to endure not only the dangerous desert elements, but the psychological toll it has taken on him. Before that, in January next year, you shall watch Armie next to Henry Cavill in THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. where they play two secret agents from the 1960s!

Oh, my, now isn't this an exciting piece of epic news: according to 'Deadline' Patrick Tatopoulos, who directed UNDERWORLD RISE OF THE LYCANS and was production designer on 300 RISE OF AN EMPIRE, will helm another epic fantasy adventure - NEW BABYLON! With innovative virtual design and rich world building the story of the film will be set in a futuristic Middle East, where a war between angels and demons leads to the building of a Tower of Babel. In the Bible, the Tower of Babel was built after the Great Flood, as a building that reached all the way up to heaven.
SCOTT EASTWOOD IN 'THE LONGEST RIDE'
Deadline reports that Clint's son Scott Eastwood will lead the cast in Nicholas Sparks movie adaptation THE LONGEST RIDE which tracks a 91-year-old man trapped in a car crash who reflects on his life with his deceased wife as a young couple fall in love only a few miles away. Eastwood will play a young man, whose love affair with a college senior plays out as the youthful half of the romantic saga. You will also see Scott this winter in Brad Pitt's WWII epic FURY!

In today's TV news, SyFy has ordered yet another ambitious sf series: they will develop epic TV mini series out of PAX ROMANA graphic novel about a Special Forces team that travels back in time to Ancient Rome on the eve of World War III to “fix” the future by altering the past. Roman legions battle modern day attack helicopters, tanks and soldier as the leaders of the expedition fight over their vision for civilization. SyFy will also develop RONIN series out of Frank Miller's comic book about a Japanese warrior reincarnated into a dystopian future!
