Although some time ago your HOLLYWOOD SPY has informed you that Javier Bardem was offered the role of villainous Blackbeard in PAN, Warner Bros. origin story on Peter Pan, the fresh rumour has it that Australian superstar Hugh Jackman has been now offered the role of the evil captain. To be directed by Joe Wright (ATONEMENT, ANNA KARENINA) the movie will focus on young orphan Peter Pan, who is taken to Neverland for the first time, where he becomes a hero to the locals while leading a rebellion against the pirates. Captain Hook will first be an ally to Peter before he becomes bad.

MARCIA CROSS FINALLY RETURNS

TO TV IN FOX'S 'FATRICK' SITCOM
In today's television news, 'Deadline' reports that everybody's favourite DESPERATE HOUSEWIFE Marcia Cross is coming back to TV in FATRICK hilarious pilot for a new comedy series at Fox.  The sitcom centres on Patrick, a 30-something moving man and former fat kid, who, realizing that his life isn’t quite where it should be, is forced to face the damage caused by years of being “Fatrick”: a chubby little kid just trying to survive. The story will be shifting between the present and Patrick’s school years. Marcia Cross will play Patrick’s mother Arlene, seen in both present day and flashback. A fit, energetic nutritionist, she is rigid and intense when it comes to her family’s eating habits.

20the Century Fox has released the first trailer for their hilarious comedy THE OTHER WOMAN which, starring Cameron Diaz, comes to cinemas next April.  After discovering her boyfriend is married, a woman (Cameron Diaz) tries to get her ruined life back on track. But when she accidentally meets the wife he's been cheating on (Leslie Mann), she realizes they have much in common, and her sworn enemy becomes her greatest friend. When yet another affair is discovered (Kate Upton), all three women team up to plot mutual revenge on their cheating, lying, three-timing SOB. GAME OF THRONES Nikolaj Coster Waldau, CHICAGO FIRE's Taylor Kinney and Don Johnson also star.

 Something your trusted HOLLYWOOD SPY has announced months ago has been confirmed: Paul Rudd is in talks to become the new big screen ANT-MAN! He is now the top candidate for the role after Joseph Gordon Levitt has turned over to SANDMAN.  If he gets the role Paul Rudd will play Hank Pym, a scientist who invents a substance that allows him to shrink to the size of an ant and communicate with insects. The movie, based on Marvel's comic, will hit theatres in summer 2015 and will be directed by Edgar Wright. There is also a possibility of Gordon Levitt playing the thief who steals Pym's technology! Speaking of superhero news, there are also rumours that Joaquin Phoenix is considered for the Lex Luthor villain role in SUPERMAN VS BATMAN. 

FANTASY MUSICAL 'GALAVANT'

TV SHOW GETS ITS PRINCE
In television news, NBC's new fantasy fairy tail musical TV series GALAVANT is gaining new cast members! 'Deadline' reports that Joshua Sasse (ROGUE) has landed the lead role of handsome Prince GALAVANT, a classic once upon a time hero, complete with sword, horse, great hair, courage, mad skills (like dragon slaying and helping the poor), and his quest for revenge over the evil King Richard who stole his one true love, the beautiful Madalena (Mallory Janesen). To Galavant’s shock, Madalena decided she prefers the King and his wealth and power to the love of penniless GALAVANT. Karen David will play the female lead, Isabella, a princess and the daughter of the King and Queen of Valencia, whose country has been conquered by King Richard, and she seeks out Galavant. Vinnie Jones is already in the cast.

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON II

Just a few days ago I showed you new images from HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON II and now here's first full length super delightful trailer for the animated sequel which will fly into the cinemas on the wings of dragons next June! When one of Hiccup's (Jay Baruchel) and Toothless' adventures leads to the discovery of a secret ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider (Cate Blanchett), the two friends find themselves at the centre of a battle to protect the peace. Now, Hiccup and Toothless must unite to stand up for what they believe while recognizing that only together do they have the power to change the future of both men and dragons. Gerard Butler and Kit Harington are also in the voice cast!

Attacking cinemas next July will be a growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar which is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species. The sequel has Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Garry Oldman, Kodi Smit McPhee and Keri Russell in the cast!

BBC'S 'IN THE CLUB' SERIES

ON PREGNANT PEOPLE
In TV news, BBC has announced their work on new six part TV series IN THE CLUB in which the story will be centred around the birth of a new baby in a modern family, following six different couples who connect at the local Parent Craft class. Will Mellor, Tara Fitzgerald, Jill Halfpenny, Hermione Norris are just some of the names in the cast who will play middle aged people pregnant again, parents who get pregnant after years of thinking they could not, lesbians expecting a baby from a sperm donor, a pair in an arranged marriage getting pregnant during their honeymoon, pregnant schoolgirls....

'BLENDED' COMEDY TRAILER

 DREW BARRYMOORE & ADAM SANDLER 3RD TIME ON THE BIG SCREEN TOGETHER

Your second trailer for today is a bit more comical one: it brings Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler together for the third time on the big screen! Their new comedy BLENDED, coming to theatres next May, follows single parents Lauren (Barrymore) and Jim (Sandler) who, after a disastrous blind date, agree on only one thing: they never want to see each other again. But when they each sign up separately for a fabulous family vacation with their kids, they are all stuck sharing a suite at a luxurious African safari resort for a week.

You will also see Drew Barrymore in HOW TO BE SINGLE about a woman who, fed up with being without a man and in her late 30s, travels the world to find out how women worldwide deal with being single and alone!
