Mihrimah
was born in 1522 and she traveled the
Ottoman Empire with her father Suleyman. 1539 in Istanbul she was married at the
age of seventeen to Rustem Pasha, Grand Vizier. She was unhappy in the marriage
and continued to travel with her father. Mihrimah has funded the construction
of two mosques in Istanbul that bear her name. She died in Istanbul 1578th.
