Hayden Panettiere having misspelled tattoo removed

The 24-year-old actress is in the process of getting the tattoo on her rib cage that says “live without regrets” in Italian removed because one of the words is misspelled, reports the Daily Mail.

Just four years after getting the ink Panettiere is going through the painful measure of erasing the mantra from her skin forever. She was spotted on Hollywood Beach, Florida Sunday in a bikini with the partially deleted tattoo in full view.

The words “Vivere senza rimpianti” are plainly visible on the blond beauty’s left rib cage. But the last word should be spelled “rimipianti.” Talk about regretful.

“It’s Italian,” she told the May issue of Glamour magazine. “When I was younger, I was upset, and my dad said he wanted to show me something. He slammed one door of the bathroom, and the closet door popped open — it was a trick with the air.”

The “Heroes” star’s father was trying to teach her a lesson.

“He said, ‘Whenever one door closes, another one always opens,’” she explained. “So my tattoo means ‘Live without regrets.’ It’s not that you don’t regret things in life, but you at least try to learn from them.”

She joked about the irony of the spelling error adorned on her skin.
“It’s misspelled too,” she said. “So I literally have to live by that advice!”
