Top 10 Legal Holidays in the Philippines - Top 10 Lists of

Holidays are special days for the people of the Philippines because these are the days that the following events happen :

First of all, during a holiday, there is always a "double pay" in the work hours that you are going to work for that day. A double pay of course is a big help for every employee of a particular company either private or government company.

Second is during a holiday, there is no classes in the schools, universities and colleges specially government schools. This will be a very big rest day for every student and their time to go shopping, go play video games and to forget the days of school.

Third, there will be a celebration of the holiday, the most celebrated holiday in the Philippines is I think the New Year's Day compared to the Christmas day. I can say that because a New Year's eve is celebrated more louder and happier compared to the Noche buena for Christmas.

Holiday will also bring families together specially when every member of the family is working hard everyday. Because of holiday they can all go for a special vacation, or a trip to a beach to prioritize even for a day their family bonding.

For this post, we are showcasing the top 10 legal holidays in the Philippines. These are the holidays that are celebrated the most and can be the most popular holidays not only in the Philippines but also all over the world.

Christmas Day (Araw ng Pasko)
The day where most Catholics are celebrating during the 25th day of December. But because of the worldwide popularity of this holiday today, not only Catholic devotees are celebrating this holiday. This holiday pertains to the birth of Jesus Christ in the manger which contradicts to the latest discoveries that Jesus Christ was never really born during a winter season but during summer. For others they just follow traditions from old folks but for those who are really investigating about real FAITH, they don't believe this holiday. I myself don't agree with the day. Because here in the Philippines every Christmas Day there are money crimes happening. How come a Christmas day which is the birth date of Jesus Christ will be a day of many crimes, and other bad news and happenings. Well, I got carried away by that. It still up to you to believe and have your own faith. It is your free will and that's how good a real God is. He has given us the free will to choose who to believe, what to believe, what to do and whatsoever we wanted for our own life. Bothered why I discussed about Faith? Answer : Simply because it is Christmas Day, it is all about Christ but most people use Christmas just to have money, have gifts and their own happiness but not really to celebrate Jesus Christ.

Rizal Day (Araw ni Gat Joze Rizal)
Celebrated every 30th of the year which is December 30, Rizal Day is also a holiday made for Filipinos only to celebrate. He was proclaimed by most Filipinos to be the National Hero. And was killed for our country's freedom. Even though many Filipinos declared he is the National Hero, majority of them just think that he died for our country only. Yes! that's the primary reason because he wrote many books that are against the Spaniards most specially priests. He even mentioned in his book Noli Me Tangere one of the major beliefs of the Catholics today the word "purgatory". Even Jose Rizal believed that after reading the whole Bible he never ever read or encountered the word purgatory (read more here about purgatory). He really is a brilliant one during his time to know the false teachings of Catholic. Good to know I am not a Catholic.
