First official poster of the movie 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'
MUMBAI: With almost 8 months remaining for the release of ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, the makers of the movie have released a teaser trailer… and after watching it, we have to say, we are looking forward to the movie.

Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ is based on the life of Olympic athlete Milkha Singh – his perseverance as an athlete and his human spirit. More famously known as the Flying Sikh, the athlete lost his family members during the Partition.

Describing the movie, before the shooting began for it, Rakeysh had said “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is not about any particular sport, trophies or medals, but it is about the fire that Milkha Singh had. I just want to spread this fire across the world and want people to learn from it.”

The opening sequence of the trailer shows a group of athletes walking onto a stadium full of cheering people. More glimpses give a taste of what we can expect of the movie – a glimpse into the life of the athlete, both on and off the field. Running atop trains, playing with a group of children and on-field, the trailer promises that the movie will share the real story of the famous athlete.

Bollywood actor-writer-director Farhan Akhtar is essaying the lead role. The ‘Rock On’ and ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ star is looking his fittest. He has been in the news for receiving hands on training directly from Milkha Singh, literally getting into the life of his character. And he worked head to get the look just right.

The effort has paid off. The transformation of Farhan Akhtar is truly stunning. The determination on his face coupled with a chiseled, tanned body – we think we can look forward to truly brilliant cinema.
